My mother owned a 1987 VW GTI that her parents got when she got into medical school. My dad drove it up until about a year after I was born. I enjoy that even so many years later, the car retains it’s classic character. I just wish that I could say the same for the company’s other vehicles, which have drabbed up a lot in the last couple of years. The plaid stitching on the seats is a nice touch.
