The art of Genndy Tartavosky’s animation

I grew up with cartoons of Genndy Tartavosky. Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls, and Dexter’s Laboratory were all staples of my childhood. Maybe that’s what partly what influenced me to create this blog. Tartavosky’s art deals with a lot of solid shapes, very 1950’s-esque, Powerpuff Girls in particular features a lot of 50’s style architecture. A lot of this is concept art, but the actual frames from the shows aren’t that far off.
